Your cabinet selections are saved in this browser, not in an account. Pouristry has no account signup, analytics tools, advertising scripts, newsletter signup or on-site checkout. Hosting a website and receiving an email still involve some information, as explained below.
Who operates Pouristry

Your cabinet stays in this browser
The cabinet saves the identifiers of the ingredients you select in your browser’s local storage, under the-cabinet.ingredients.v1. This remembers selections between visits. It records ingredient presence, not quantities, purchases or your identity.
The site’s code reads those selections to match recipes on your device; it does not send your cabinet list to us. Ingredient searches, recipe searches and filters also run in the page and are not saved by the site. Your cabinet does not automatically follow you to another browser or device.
- Use Clear in What’s in my Cabinet to reset your selections. This saves an empty cabinet in this browser.
- To remove the stored entry itself, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Your browser may also remove it when you clear browsing data.
- If local storage is unavailable, the cabinet can work for the current visit but may not remember your selections. A message below the cabinet explains this.
Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see its saved cabinet. The current site’s own code does not set tracking cookies.
Information needed to serve the site
When you visit, the hosting infrastructure processes technical request information to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser information and the pages requested. Hosting providers may keep operational or security logs under their own practices. This is separate from the cabinet list saved on your device.
Pouristry does not currently run visitor analytics or advertising-tracking tools. Reserved advertising spaces, if shown, are placeholders rather than live ads.
If you email us
Email is optional. If you write to us, we receive your email address, the message and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to read and respond to your inquiry. Messages are handled through our email provider.
Please send only the information needed for your question. You can use the contact address above to ask about a message you previously sent.
When you follow another site’s link
Recipe sources, image credits and shopping links may take you to third-party websites. Their own privacy and cookie practices apply when you visit them. Purchases take place on the retailer’s site, where the retailer handles payment, fulfillment and returns. Our current retailer links are ordinary, non-affiliate links; Pouristry receives no commission from them.
If the site changes
This notice describes the features currently in use. We will update it when those practices change, including if we introduce analytics, advertising, accounts or affiliate tools. The date at the top shows the latest update.
