The shopping guide is based on editorial research and practical buying considerations, not hands-on product testing. It combines equipment categories and buying considerations with selected product suggestions based on published retailer or manufacturer information. A mention should not be read as a claim that we have personally used or tested an item.
We focus on fit, everyday usefulness and what you already own. Manufacturer specifications and care instructions can vary, so check the details for the exact item you are considering.
Recipes and their stories
The collection uses the recipe specifications shown on this site for cabinet matching. Recipes and methods can differ between sources. Notes identify house specifications and variations where relevant; suggested substitutions are labeled separately from the listed recipe.
Origin stories link to sources and distinguish documented history from attributed, traditional, disputed or uncertain accounts. These labels matter: a familiar story is not always a settled fact. If you spot an error, send us the recipe name and a source.
Real photography is credited in the relevant recipe details, with a link to the source and license. AI-generated images are labeled on their cards and in the recipe details; they illustrate the recipe and are not photographs of prepared drinks. Photos are visual references, not a claim that Pouristry photographed or tested the recipe. Images of a related variation are labeled “Serving inspiration,” with differences explained in the photo credit. Garnishes and presentation can vary from the listed recipe.
If we add affiliate links
An affiliate link can pay the publisher a commission when someone buys through it. Current retailer links are ordinary, non-affiliate links and do not pay us a commission. If we add affiliate links, we will explain the commission relationship clearly near the relevant recommendations and links, as well as update this page.
A disclosure page alone is not a substitute for a clear notice where a commercial recommendation appears. If a future recommendation involves sponsorship, a free product or another material connection, that relationship will be identified with the recommendation.
